Daendels road construction from Anyer (Banten) to Panarukan (East Java) as far as 1000 km in the year 1809-1810 which aims to accelerate the arrival of the letters sent between Anyer to Panarukan or as post roads, but the roads it in many subsequent developments influenced by surrounding people's lives and has changed its function, among others, form the economic road or public road, and now many surrounding buildings.

The oldest evidence of the existence of settlements which are now called Jakarta, is the inscription on the monument is embedded Growing Batu village, North Jakarta.
